Anchor care homes recognised in national care review website top 20 awards for 2024

Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life, has been recognised as being one of the Top 20 recommended large care home providers by a national care review website.    

The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Provider Review Awards are based on feedback from residents living in Anchor’s care homes, their relatives and loved ones. Five Anchor care homes were also honoured by winning regional awards.    

Anchor’s Beech Hall in Armley, Leeds, and Dearne Hall in Bolton upon Dearne, Rotherham, won in the Yorkshire and Humber region, Moore Place in Esher was selected in the South East region, Millfield care home in Oldham was named as in the top 20 in the North West region and Kingfisher Court in Sutton in Ashfield near Nottingham was successful in the East Midlands region.   

This is the seventh year in a row Anchor has received a Top 20 large care home group award.     
Rob Martin, Anchor’s Managing Director of Care Services, welcomed the announcement and praised the dedication and commitment of colleagues throughout Anchor. He said:

We’re very proud to be named as one of the country’s Top 20 large care home groups for 2024. To be acknowledged by the residents themselves, and their relatives and loved ones, for the standard of care we provide is great recognition for colleagues.

I’m so delighted that five of our care homes have been given special recognition for their work, they should be very proud of their achievements. They’re all a credit to Anchor and the care sector.
