Halloween fun brings generations together at The Mill House
Children and families from the local community brought Halloween excitement to The Mill House care home in Skipton, as residents opened their doors for the home’s annual Trick or Treat Street.
Young visitors made their way around the home, stopping at residents’ doors to collect sweets and treats. Many residents decorated their doors and dressed up for the occasion, creating a welcoming Halloween atmosphere and giving everyone something to enjoy.
The annual event has become a popular tradition at The Mill House, giving residents the chance to meet local families and share in the excitement of Halloween. Seeing the children in their costumes and chatting with them as they visited was a highlight for many.
Home Manager Sharleen Polley said:
Our annual Trick or Treat Street is always one of the highlights of the year. It's wonderful to see the home filled with children and families, and our residents absolutely love being involved.
Events like this bring so much joy, helping to create connections between generations and ensuring our residents remain an active part of the local community. We'd like to thank everyone who joined us and helped make this year's event so special.
Resident Carmen Greenwood also enjoyed welcoming the young visitors. She said:
I really enjoyed seeing all the children in their costumes and handing out sweets. The smiles on their faces were lovely to see. It's wonderful when the community comes into the home.
The Mill House looks forward to welcoming local families back for another Trick or Treat Street next Halloween.
