Both me and my sister couldn't of picked a better home for mum who was truly happy and loved all the staff. You could tell when you walked in and sense a great atmosphere with in the home. Great thanks from my heart to all staff at Primrose Court you are fantastic.

We don't have a bad word to say about Primrose Court. My mum (age 91) was there for 16 months and during that time she was given the best care and personal attention from absolutely each and every member of staff. Knowing she was in such safe & kind hands really took the worry away from all the family. The love the staff showed my mum was touchin… g and they made sure her personality flourished everyday she was there. She cared for each and everyone of them and kept telling us that she could not fault any of the staff or the place. From me & my family I would like to thank everyone at Primrose Court for everything they have done. We could not recommend them enough. They will always have a special place in our hearts xx

All staff very caring with mum. Could not do enough for her and her family and friends when visiting. They ensured her dignity when bed ridden and bathing and changing. They offered love and support to family and friends particularly during her final days.

My mother come for 3 weeks respite care over Christmas but we found the care, staff, facilities room, food and management are so good, we arranged for her to stay a little longer. After 2 months, the family have now decided that this care home is so good that mum will now make this her home. Thank you all so much.

I cannot recommend Primrose Court highly enough. Each and every member of staff treats residents and their relatives with the greatest of care, dignity and respect. There is a genuine warmth and affection about the place which has meant that Primrose Court has been a real home from home for both my dad and my auntie. Their best interests have alway… s been at the forefront of the care they have received and I have been kept well informed about their health and wellbeing. Staff have always acted promptly to ensure that they have been comfortable, and received any necessary medical treatment promptly. The food is excellent and the range of activities on offer means that there is something for everyone to enjoy. I will forever be grateful to the staff at Primrose Court for making the last couple of years of my dad's life happy and content and for continuing to go above and beyond to support both my auntie and myself, as part of the current Primrose Court family.

Mum has been a resident at Primrose Court for almost 3 years and she has received wonderful care from day one. However, she suffered a stroke and seizure on 26th January and died on 2nd February. In her respect care plan, it was agreed that the staff would support palliative care if needed. They were true to their word, every member of staff withou… t fail, not only cared for mum to the end but my sister and I also, what a wonderful team, nothing was too much for them and we all felt so carefully held through this painful time.

My father started living at Primrose Court in late October 2024. From the first moment he crossed the threshold, he was welcomed by name and taken to see his room. Along the way to his room, numerous care staff welcomed him by name, which I felt really comfortable with, as it reaffirmed his feeling of belonging. The carers have always shown great i… nterest in my father's life and are constantly encouraging him to engage in conversation. He takes great pleasure in showing photos of his life, family and travel experiences he and my mother made together. Thank you to all the staff, they are wonderful and work hard together to create a happy and caring environment that my father calls home.

What is included in care home fees?

For many people, moving to a care home is a big decision and it can be difficult to know where to start. Care home fees are based on a range of factors, including specific care needs, which can change over time.

Living in an Anchor care home you can be confident that a single fee covers the cost of your personally tailored 24 hour care and support, utility bills and meals, as well as a fantastic range of daily activities. In an Anchor care home our weekly charge includes:
- cost of personal care
- accommodation
- utilities e.g. heating and light
- all resident catering, meals, snacks and drinks
- laundry undertaken on the premises
- housekeeping services
- television licence, for your use of digital or satellite television in your room for residents age 75 and over (residents under age 75 will need to pay an annual charge set by TV Licencing to join the shared TV licence).

The following extra items and services are not covered by the weekly fees, however we can arrange for them to be provided (at an additional cost):
- professional hairdressing
- personal copies of newspapers or magazines
- personal purchases such as stationery, confectionery, toiletries etc.
- clothing, shoes and slippers
- dry cleaning
- private telephone line rental and calls and cable connections.

In the absence of free provision by the NHS, we can also arrange for the following healthcare services to be provided, these will be charged in addition to the weekly fees:
- chiropody
- optometry
- dentistry
- physiotherapy
- other privately arranged healthcare
- care staff accompaniment to regular medical appointments.

No upfront deposit is required at any of Anchor’s care homes to secure a room.

At Anchor we pride ourselves on offering a truly tailored approach to care and therefore need to fully understand your needs to provide you with an accurate fee estimate. Please call us to discuss your specific care needs today. Alternatively we welcome you to visit us to discuss your situation face-to-face.

Want more information on care home fees?

Learning about the different funding options available to you can also help you feel confident in your decisions. Anchor know that securing care home funding can sometimes appear a rather daunting task and so to help we have put together a free guide covering requesting assistance, top up fees and third-party payments.
