Care home selection checklist
Choosing a care home can seem like a confusing and daunting task. With more than 60 years’ experience of helping people find the right home, we have produced a free checklist to help you make notes and choose between the different care homes you visit.
Is this home right for me?
There’s a lot to consider when you are choosing a care home. It may be the little things that appeal to you most about a particular home, like being able to personalise your room, the greeting you get from staff, or being able to continue hobbies, and you may find it useful to make notes of these details.
Our checklist of suggested questions is designed to help you remember the things you see and the way a home makes you feel, as well as the information you are given, when visiting.
It features the questions Anchor colleagues say are most commonly asked as well as factors our existing care home residents have told us were most important to them when choosing a home.
Please feel free to download and print our checklist as often as you like.
