Announcing our colleagues in the South East final for Great British Care Awards
We are proud to announce we have six colleagues and one care team in the South East regional final of the Great British Care Awards which recognises excellence across the care sector.
Throughout November, regional finals will be held across the UK, with the winners advancing on to the national final at the ICC in Birmingham on March 14.
On November 15, the regional final for the South East will be held in Brighton. We have colleagues up for awards in the following categories:
• Frontline Leader - Kirsten Tennant (Deputy Manager, Mayflower Court, Southampton)
• Care Home Activity Organiser - Lynne Shrubsall (Wellness Coordinator)
• Dignity in Care - Sarah Friedman (Care Assistant, Mayflower Court, Southampton)
• Registered Care Home Manager - Samantha Bell (Home Manager, Ferendune Court, Faringdon)
• Care Home Worker - Marica Rokoua Vadei (Care Assistant, Augusta Court, Chichester)
• Care Home Cook/Chef - Lewis Cutler (Chef Manager, West Hall, West Byfleet)
• Care Team - Mayflower Court (Southampton)
Reflecting on the success of colleagues in the region, Director of Care Services in London and the South East Jane Darani said: “I’m so proud of care colleagues across Anchor, not just the Great British Care Awards finalists who are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and serving their local communities. We’re looking forward to the final in Brighton, and fingers crossed we can come home with some awards!”
Anchor’s Director of Care Services South Maria Bamford added: “It’s always amazing to see the hard work of colleagues at Anchor awarded with recognition such as this. Good luck to all our finalists!”
