I am very happy with the care my mum has received at the care home. The staff are excellent. The home has always got lots of activities on for for keeping the residents occupied. After viewing many homes I was very lucky to find this wonderful home. I would fully recommend this home for your loved ones. The care they receive is the best.

We are currently offering you an opportunity to receive one week free when you move into one of our participating care homes on a short stay or permanent basis. Click here to find out more and read the full details of the terms and conditions of this offer.

We pride ourselves on making sure we understand your loved one – their likes and dislikes, hopes and passions – so you can be sure they enjoy a special and lasting welcome at Anchor. Because your loved ones are our loved ones.

To start your enquiry simply click 'Enquire now' at the top of the page and either call us or complete an online enquiry form.

We know only too well how daunting and emotional the decisions are for everyone when considering care, which is why our team are here to help every step of the way.

We’ll provide you with full details of the home, along with any other information you’d like, such as sample menus and activity schedules, as well as explain how you can arrange a viewing.

Whether you’re looking to stay with us permanently, or for a short break, we’d be delighted to take you on a show round of the home in person. Simply book a visit with the home manager once you’ve made your enquiry.

If you or your loved one doesn’t live nearby or are unable to visit in person we can provide a virtual show round. Either way, we’re keen to show you what daily life is like here and for you to meet our friendly team.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

Guide to visiting a care home for the first time

Visiting a care home is one of the most important steps in deciding whether it’s the right place for you or your loved one. In our homes we will ensure your visit will be welcoming, informative and reassuring, so you can feel confident about your choice. To help you get the most from your time visiting our homes, we've written an easy to follow online guide to visiting a care home.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

You may already have had a care needs assessment from the local authority and have a care plan in place which can be a useful starting point for our conversations, so we will ask about these. Our pre-assessment is a chance for us to find out more about you, the challenges you face and the way you like to live your life. It's a conversation about how our team could work with you to support your needs, independence, and wellbeing.

Once you are confident in your choice of new home, our friendly onsite teams will discuss every aspect of moving-in with you in detail to make sure you know exactly what to expect.

This way you can feel confident, safe and welcomed in the knowledge that you or your loved one will be happy and supported in your new home.

Before you move in, we will find out if there are any of your possessions that you wish us to place in your room before you arrive. Please bring your family photographs and most treasured possessions to help make your room your home.

Our care homes are dedicated to helping our residents maintain links in the local area and with their loved ones. We understand how important visits are to help your loved one settle in and we welcome regular visits from family and friends.

We also actively support residents living with us to enjoy visits away from their new home into the local area and to nearby places of interest.

Each of our homes is different and the manager of the care home you’re interested in will provide all the information you need around visiting.
