Anchor colleagues reach East of England regional final for the Great British Care Awards
We are proud to announce that we have eight colleagues in the East of England regional final of the Great British Care Awards. The awards recognise excellence across the care sector.
Throughout November, regional finals will be held across the UK, with the winners advancing on to the national final at the ICC in Birmingham on March 14.
On November 1, the regional final for the East of England will be held in Milton Keynes. We have colleagues up for awards in the following categories:
• Care Newcomer - Emily Keeble (Care Assistant, St Edith's Court, Essex)
• Ancillary Worker - Allison Dowson (Administrator, St Marys, Ipswich)
• Care Home Registered Manager – Anna Swed (Home Manager, Marham House, Suffolk)
• Care Home Activity Organiser - Nicola Patterson (Team Leader/Activity Champion, Canterbury House, Ipswich)
• Care Innovator – Helen Core (Wellbeing Manager)
• Care Home Worker - Rolando Jr Legaspi (Care Assistant, Blackbrook House, Essex)
• Care Assessor/Planner - Ellen Martinez (Team Leader, Clayburn Court, Peterborough)
• Frontline Leader - Luanna Aldous (Team Leader, Devonshire House, Suffolk)
Reflecting on the success of colleagues in the region, Anchor’s Director of Care Services in London and the South East Jane Darani said: “I’m so proud of care colleagues across Anchor, not just the Great British Care Awards finalists who are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and serving their local communities. We’re looking forward to next month’s final in Milton Keynes, and fingers crossed we can come home with some awards!”
There are 21 categories in total at this year’s Great British Care Awards, with Anchor represented in all of them up and down the country.
