The staff at St. Mary's have always been kind, Caring and attentive. The home is beautifully clean, bright and engaging and there always seems to be plenty of activities on offer. We have been very satisfied and happy with the care provided to dad.

My Stepdad spent the last six months of this life at St Marys. He didn't know they were his last six months neither did we, but he was so happy there with his favourite chair and belongings around him he actually said it was like a luxury hotel! The staff were all so kind and caring catering to his every whim. We were also greeted by warm friend… ly faces! At the end they respected our privacy with him and were kind and compassionate. Have nothing but praise for everyone

You can't imagine the burden that has been lifted during the 4 months my husband has been with you... He seems to react far better with the female staff than he did with me! So it is a relief that they can manage him. I know the carers are paid to do their job but they often go the extra mile. May I add that the Chrismas dinner was exemplary and w… as lucky to have been included. I believe in giving praise where praise is due. This is a good example of the dependability of the staff: One day, after I'd sped to inform the team that a resident was lying on the floor in my husbands lavatory it was action station! They coped admirably, thanked profoundly afterwards. May there be continuing reassureane like this for the residents and their relatives.

Every time I visit the care home. All staff and residents are very happy and helpful. There are lots of activities to take part in if the residents so wish. They have hairdressers and foot people that come to the home regularly. All in all, my experience is excellent.

Since my husband moved to St Marys (one week) the staff have been incredibly caring, kind and the communication is excellent. I feel they know my husband and how best to support him. They are also very helpful and supportive to me.

What is included in care home fees?

For many people, moving to a care home is a big decision and it can be difficult to know where to start. Care home fees are based on a range of factors, including specific care needs, which can change over time.

Living in an Anchor care home you can be confident that a single fee covers the cost of your personally tailored 24 hour care and support, utility bills and meals, as well as a fantastic range of daily activities. In an Anchor care home our weekly charge includes:

- all resident catering, meals, snacks and drinks
- laundry undertaken on the premises

- housekeeping services.

The following extra items and services are not covered by the weekly fees, however we can arrange for them to be provided (at an additional cost):
- professional hairdressing
- personal copies of newspapers or magazines
- personal purchases such as stationery, confectionery, toiletries etc.
- clothing, shoes and slippers
- dry cleaning
- private telephone line rental and calls and cable connections.

In the absence of free provision by the NHS, we can also arrange for the following healthcare services to be provided, these will be charged in addition to the weekly fees:
- chiropody
- optometry
- dentistry
- physiotherapy
- other privately arranged healthcare
- care staff accompaniment to regular medical appointments.

No upfront deposit is required at any of Anchor’s care homes to secure a room.

At Anchor we pride ourselves on offering a truly tailored approach to care and therefore need to fully understand your needs to provide you with an accurate fee estimate. Please call us to discuss your specific care needs today. Alternatively we welcome you to visit us to discuss your situation face-to-face.

Want more information on care home fees?
