My husband has been cared for at Bilton Court for nearly a year. He went to live there at a traumatic time. I was in hospital for several months with a life-threatening illness and my husband was eight years into a Dementia diagnosis and thought by his Consultant to be in the late stages of his illness. We both needed care, but couldn't care for o… ne another. The Manager and her staff have been a pillar of strength for both of us..A culture of kindness, care and calm permeates the building. The leadership is first class, people are listened to, and their needs responded to. The Care and housekeeping staff are lovely with my husband and welcome his visitors. My husband enjoys his meals and snacks and is helped to eat. Medical issues are dealt with promptly and the Medical Centre next door offers comprehensive support service. I am thankjful to know that my husband receives the best of care. That is a great comfort to me. Thank you very much, one and all at Bilton Court.

The staff at Bilton Court are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum's lost her mobility and can no longer weight bare but that's no problem, they just hoist her from bed to wheelchair and take her to join in activities. They've got her a reclining chair for her room as her legs ache in the afternoons. She has her hair done, her feet done. Tea … & biscuits whenever she wants. 10 out of 10

Overall my brother and I are very happy with the care, help and support Mum receives in Bilton Court. Several of the staff often pop in and see Mum even if they are working in another area. One or 2 will always encourage Mum to take part in the activities and also help her to the dining room for meals.

Bilton Court - Accommodation

We know how important mealtimes are and like them to be a sociable and enjoyable part of the day. Our experienced chefs understand the nutritional requirements of older people and ensure all meals are prepared from fresh, seasonal ingredients.

We serve tasty, wholesome, good food and our menus change regularly with a daily choice available. Our care home catering team will consult with you on a regular basis to ensure we understand your food preferences and craft menus to match these. We also cater for residents with special dietary needs and create a “dining atmosphere” by decorating these areas in colours that stimulate the appetite and create ambience.

Our home also features nutrition and hydration stations in the communal areas. These discreet displays are stocked with a variety of snacks and soft drinks to enable residents to snack all day independently and encourage them to remain hydrated and well fed at all times.

All these factors boost residents appetites and enable them to enjoy their meal, which is essential in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Our care home organises and arranges a variety of opportunities for our residents to enjoy daily activities in our home and in the local community.

We work in partnership with the National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People (NAPA) and encourage activities that enhance our residents’ lifestyle, health and wellbeing.

Residents preferred activities, interests and ability are discussed when they move in and an agreed plan ensures that these requests are fulfilled (wherever possible). Our residents’ suggestions for activities also help shape the planning process.

We organise supervised day trips to leisure facilities and places of interest as well as social events in the home, including themed restaurant evenings, arts and crafts, quizzes and regular entertainers.

Welcoming you

To start your enquiry simply click 'Enquire now' at the top of the page and either call us or complete an online enquiry form.

We know only too well how daunting and emotional the decisions are for everyone when considering care, which is why our team are here to help every step of the way.

We’ll provide you with full details of the home, along with any other information you’d like, such as sample menus and activity schedules, as well as explain how you can arrange a viewing.

Whether you’re looking to stay with us permanently, or for a short break, we’d be delighted to take you on a show round of the home in person. Simply book a visit with the home manager once you’ve made your enquiry.

If you or your loved one doesn’t live nearby or are unable to visit in person we can provide a virtual show round. Either way, we’re keen to show you what daily life is like here and for you to meet our friendly team.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

Our friendly onsite team will discuss every area of moving-in with you in detail to make sure you and your loved-one know exactly what to expect and feel confident, safe and welcomed when coming to live with us.

Before you move in, we will find out if there are any of your possessions that you wish us to place in your room before you arrive. Please bring your family photographs and most treasured possessions to help make your room your home.

Our care homes are dedicated to helping our residents maintain links in the local area and with their loved ones. We understand how important visits are to help your loved one settle in and we welcome regular visits from family and friends.

We also actively support residents living with us to enjoy visits away from their new home into the local area and to nearby places of interest.

Each of our homes is different and the manager of the care home you’re interested in will provide all the information you need around visiting.
