I’m very impressed with this lovely care home and how my friend is being looked after. There’s just a lovely, happy atmosphere and the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents. It’s clean, with comfortable lounges, a bistro/coffee shop and a light and airy dining room which looks out onto the garden. The food is good and I’ve enjoyed lunch … there with my friend. There are various activities too. Well done to all concerned in making St Edith’s Court a very nice place to live. It’s wonderful for my friend’s family to see how settled and happy she is.

I have been so impressed with the care and welcome given to my mother since she has been in the care home. All the staff have been wonderful and she is extremely happy with all her medical needs met. She is sociable and has appreciated the facilities and activities offered. It has been such a relief for me too, as I know she is now safe and happy.

St Edith's Court was recommended to us by a Community Health Care Professional. Six months ago Mum had a severe stroke, leaving her with left side paralysis and exhaustion. Mum needed carers four times a day at home. Being widowed, the decision was made to move mum into St Edith's. The emotional improvement in Mum in a short time is noticeable. Mum… now has a sense of community, her dignity restored and a quality of life! The rooms are like mini flats, ideal for independence. The staff are super friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is homely, the food in Mum's words is 'fresh and wholesome' and she really appreciates the linen tablecloths! After what has been some dark days, I thank St Edith's management, carers and staff for taking such great care of our beloved mum, and supporting us as a family unit. No regrets. Thank you team St Edith's.

My mother has Parkinson’s disease and found that living independently was becoming more of a challenge. We looked at several homes before choosing St Edith’s - but once we had visited St Edith’s, she was confident that this was the home for her. She enjoys the independence of her own flat but knows that help is always at hand with personal care.… The staff at St Edith’s are very caring, and I am happy that she is safe and well looked after.

My grandmother-in-law requires fluid thickener in all drinks. This is administered by carers, but also left out, where it can be added to drinks by visitors. However, there were no instructions on the labels of the thickener and no IDDSI guidance on display, leading to us making drinks far too thickly for her. I passed my concerns on to one of th… e care assistants and to the team leader, but rather than being met with a positive response to my request that the IDDSI framework is displayed on the wall, I was told that this would merely be “passed to management”. I understand the pressures of the home fully, but I also understand that concerns need to be swiftly addressed and followed up.

Wonderful staff. I can't speak highly enough of how kind and genuinely caring they are. My mum is 96 years old and has been given a new lease of life thanks to them. The rooms are great, as are the facilities. The gardens are amazing, food is great, but overall, I can't believe the levels of kindness and can't believe how lucky we were to have foun… d this home. I looked at others in the area, and nothing came close - a very happy son.
