What is included in care home fees?
Care home fees in England can vary substantially from provider to provider and from location to location. Understanding care home funding and accessing the right type of funding assistance can seem like a daunting task.
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for their care in full, whilst others will make means-tested contributions.
The government sets national limits to determine eligibility for funding assistance. These limits can be subject to change, so it is always advisable to check the figures when choosing a care home.
At Glenvale Park, our weekly private fees could include hairdressing, chiropody, daytrips, and daily newspapers. We can provide you more information on fees, what they cover and how they are charged when you enquire.
Paying for your own care
Those who are able to pay for their own care can contact care homes directly. Once a preferred care home has been identified, the care provider will conduct a needs-based assessment.
How much is a weekly private fee?
Our current private weekly fee at Glenvale Park is from £1,309. This can vary due to resident dependency, size of room and location. Our Home Manager and other colleagues will be happy to discuss fees and any other questions you may have about paying for care.

What's happening at Glenvale Park
What a fantastic afternoon we’ve had, welcoming the children from Kilburn School of Dance. They put on a wonderful showcase for us all, with traditional dances from Austria, Russia and the Czech Republic.
facebookThank you to all the children, their parents and teacher, who bought them along in this horrendous weather, to entertain our residents.
Just one week left until our Christmas Fayre, and we can hardly contain our excitement! If you have any items you'd like to donate for our tombola, we would be truly grateful.
facebookYesterday afternoon, we had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful Stanwick handbell ringers to our home. We enjoyed a selection of festive songs accompanied by the enchanting sound of the bells as we sang along.
facebookOne of our amazing residents said ‘My sister said I would never go to Heaven, but sitting here listening to the bells, I am in heaven’. ❤️❤️❤️
We enjoyed a lovely morning with our book club, reading short stories of animals during the war.
facebookAlways a fun morning joining in with Dementia Sings Out. We can’t wait for the Christmas party in a few weeks!
facebookThis afternoon it was eyes down for some competitive games of Christmas bingo!
Oh no the Grinch has made his way to Glenvale Park and is causing havoc!

A very Happy Birthday to our Roy! We hope you enjoyed the delicious cake made by Lina, in your favourite colour green.
facebookWhat a wonderful afternoon we’ve had with the talented Kelly Barnes singing for us all. With a mixture of music, we sang and danced the afternoon away.
facebookIt was even more special as Kelly is one of our beloved resident’s Granddaughter. Sheila was beaming seeing her sing and said how proud she was to see her entertain us all.
🎄🎄🎄We went for our first festive trip out to Bosworths Garden Centre. The singing reindeer were hilarious and we really enjoyed looking at the Christmas decorations.
facebookWe then enjoyed delicious hot chocolates and scones with cream, in their wonderful cafe. 🎄🎄🎄
A dastardly elf has made its way into the building causing havoc around the home. However we now have Hartley who will be guarding us from its mischievous doings!
