Anchor Hanover launch new later-living homes at The Chapters in Shinfield
Anchor Hanover has launched ‘The Chapters’, a new collection of 80 stylish one- and two-bedroom apartments located in the heart of Shinfield, Berkshire.
The collection of apartments will form a new community for active, like-minded people creating a social place to maintain an independent lifestyle to the fullest. Based on Beke Avenue in Shinfield, there are four different types of apartments available, aptly named after renowned female authors; Austen, Bronte, Christie and Du-Maurier, the apartments are designed with quality and comfort in mind.
Each home offers a private walk-out balcony or terrace providing an ideal outside space to enjoy whilst the spacious interiors have been carefully designed to create light and airy spaces which maximise sunlight. The layout of the fully fitted kitchens and tasteful living areas provide the perfect place for relaxing, dining or entertaining. Modern bathrooms accommodate step-free showers making them easy and accessible for all residents.
Phillip Hulme, Sales Director at Anchor Hanover comments: “For those looking for the perfect place to downsize or to start a new, exciting chapter of later living, The Chapters will provide this haven to live life to the fullest and with support from our expert team your moving journey will be made as stress free and easy as possible.
“At Anchor Hanover we also understand that there are many factors that make a house a home and one of those is the surrounding community. With The Chapters located within the existing strong community of Shinfield, and the new community of homes awaiting, those looking to form new friendships will feel right at home.
“Central to the range of new apartments, a communal lounge and café provides a relaxed atmosphere for socialising, whilst an onsite guest suite is available for visiting friends and family. Beautifully maintained communal gardens and courtyard add to the areas to enjoy companionship.”
To help residents embrace a healthy and active lifestyle, The Chapters will be the first Anchor Hanover development to launch its Wellbeing 360 program, offering a fresh approach to wellbeing in later life. The service is complemented by the onsite wellness room and each program is designed to suit individual’s needs and abilities.
Pam (90) and William (91) Stone were the first residents at Keble Court in Fleet to pilot the Wellbeing 360 program and they cannot praise the program and the benefits it has brought to their daily lives enough. By following their bespoke programs, they now have ‘bio-ages’ (based on the Smart Health assessments) of 82 and 83.
William who had been diagnosed with failing nerves in his legs, had been told he would be unable to walk but since maintaining his daily exercises learnt from an osteopath, he is now able to walk up to two miles without assistance and his balanced has improved.
The couple have also been enjoying various new activities including sitting exercises and yoga which has helped them keep active during the testing pandemic.
Pam explains: “Alongside the physical exercises, we have been taught about the science of wellbeing and how being active affects our diet and our mental health which has really helped us especially during the pandemic. My BMI has now reduced to within the health range by being more mindful of my health and making better choices.
“I implement everything that I have learnt from the program and start every day with the breathing routine which I learned in the program. I have recommended the Wellbeing 360 program to all my friends and my fellow residents; it is such a wonderful initiative to support older people to keep active and healthy for as long as they can.”
With a one and two-bedroom show home now available to view, interested home movers are invited to make their one-to-one, private appointment to experience how life could be at this later-living community.
The new collection of homes start from £349,000 for a one bedroom apartment and £415,000 for a two bedroom apartment. Further weekly charges and exit fees apply.
