The Manor House Roundhay care home praised by care regulator

The Manor House Roundhay care home is delighted to have been classed as Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the second highest rating possible. 

The team were celebrating after receiving the accolade, which also included significant recognition for the care provided to residents.

The CQC’s robust inspection process gives care homes a rating of Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, or Inadequate based on five categories. The Manor House Roundhay received high marks in all five categories, with an Outstanding rating in the Caring category.

The CQC inspectors were impressed by the “person-centred care” at The Manor House Roundhay. The report recognised that the culture across the care home was positive, open, and centred on continuous learning and improvement. Inspectors noted that the care home demonstrated consistent quality and strong leadership.

Inspectors also praised how The Manor House Roundhay’s residents and their relatives spoke positively about their experience. One resident said: “It is lovely here and all the staff are lovely”. 

Rebecca Higginson, Manager of The Manor House Roundhay care home, was thrilled that the CQC had recognised the high standards and hard work of her team.
