West Hall throws special event to celebrate the summer

West Hall care home in West Byfleet celebrated summer with a fun day for colleagues and residents 

Residents and colleagues at West Hall care home welcomed members of the local community for a spectacular fun day celebration, complete with all manner of games and summer treats! Guests were treated to activities such as crazy golf, table tennis, a scavenger hunt and other fun pastimes. The highlight of the day was an exciting tombola with the grand prize of champagne and chocolates!

West Hall was specially decorated to get guests into the summer theme, with many of the decorations being made by the residents themselves! Along with all the fun and games, residents enjoyed a delicious barbecue put on by the home. Guests enjoyed delicious food such as homemade burgers and sausages, and amazing salads and summer drinks.

Resident David Edwards said:

We had a lovely day, and everyone really enjoyed it. I’ve always loved having a summer barbecue and doing stuff like crazy golf was a lot of fun! 

I’m just glad the weather was so kind to us as well! Even though it’s summer you can never be too careful with the rain!

It was a great day and we loved welcoming relatives and guests to the home to celebrate the summer months and socialise. 

We love running events like our summer barbecues at West Hall. They’re great for our residents’ mental and physical wellbeing as they get everyone outside and are fun and creative. They’re also a lot of fun for us to put on too!
