The Mill House celebrates its first birthday

The Mill House care home in Skipton marked the occasion with a special party for residents and their friends and family. Two entertainers and a therapy pony were also invited to keep residents amused. 

The birthday celebrations saw everyone at the event given cake and cupcakes made by a local lady.

Home manager Sharleen Polley said:

We have a great first year to look back on at The Mill House and so this was a special occasion to mark our first twelve months. It was great to see so many families and friends of residents and I think everyone had a fantastic time. Here’s to many more!

Since opening, the home won the prestigious National Luxury Care Home of the Year Award for 2024 by property development giants Knight Frank. 

It also won the Development of the Year Award at the Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards 2023. It has state-of-the-art care facilities and luxury amenities including an in-house hair and beauty salon, a fully equipped café bar and beautiful terraced gardens.
