Colleagues at Augusta Court care home joined by furry friends for fundraiser
Two care colleagues, representing Augusta Court care home in Chichester, recently took their four-legged friends for special walks, raising money for a local hospice.
Home Manager Magda Zajac and Administrator Nikki Goodeve were joined by their dogs Leo and Bruno as they took part in Woof for Wilf at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
The annual event encourages members of the community to walk the two-and-a-half-mile track, with their furry friends in tow, and raise money for St Wilfred's Hospice.
Magda and Nikki were among hundreds of owners and their dogs who braved the poor weather on the day. The good news for the dogs in attendance was that there were plenty of canine-themed stalls for them to enjoy!
Reflecting on the day, Magda said:
We have a close relationship with St Wilfred’s Hospice, so it was a no-brainer when the opportunity arose to raise money for this great cause. The hospice has supported us so much in the past, including providing training to our care colleagues.
We’re hoping to collaborate further with St Wilfred’s in the future. At Augusta Court, we’re always looking for ways to open our doors to the community.
