Anchor colleagues reach North East regional final for Great British Care Awards

We are pleased to announce that five colleagues and one team have reached the North East regional final of the Great British Care Awards which recognises excellence across the care sector. 

Throughout November, regional finals will be held across the UK, with the winners advancing on to the national final at the ICC in Birmingham on March 14. 

On November 7, the regional final for the North East will be held in Newcastle. We have colleagues up for awards in the following categories:

•    Registered Care Home Manager - Anne Dale (Home Manager, Elderwood, Darlington)
•    Palliative Care - Laura Erskine (Deputy Manager, The Manor House, Barnard Castle)
•    Frontline Leader - Rachel Perry (Deputy Manager, Millbeck, Stockton-On-Tees)
•    Care Team - Cranlea (Newcastle)
•    Ancillary Worker - Susan Donnelly (Receptionist, Skelton Court, Cleveland)
•    Care Newcomer – John (Terry) Dixon (Care Assistant, Palmersdene, Jarrow)

Reflecting on the success of colleagues in the region, Anchor’s Director of Care Services in the North Linda Green said:

There are 21 categories in total at this year’s Great British Care Awards, with Anchor represented in all of them up and down the country.
