Townend Close care home hosts afternoon tea for golden ticket event winners

Townend Close care home in Keighley launched the event ahead of World Kindness Day in November and recently hosted an afternoon tea for those lucky few who were able to find a limited number of special golden tickets.

The golden tickets were hidden across Cross Hills, and to potentially find one, members of the community needed to enter local shops and businesses and utter the words “golden ticket” to staff. 

In total, eight golden tickets were found, and the winners were treated to afternoon tea at Townend Close, with residents at the care home joining them.

Lian Clarkson, Home Manager at Townend Close, said:

We’re always looking for ways to invite members of the community into our care home, but this time we wanted to spice things up. After all, who doesn't love a challenge!

It was a pleasure to host the winners of our golden ticket event. We’ve had lots of positive feedback from the local community on the back of the event, and we hope to continue this trend heading into Christmas.
