Meet our colleagues in the Yorkshire final of the Great British Care Awards
We are proud to announce we have 16 colleagues and one care team in the Yorkshire regional final of the Great British Care Awards which recognises excellence across the care sector.
Throughout November, regional finals will be held across the UK, with the winners advancing on to the national final at the ICC in Birmingham on March 14.
On November 8, the regional final for Yorkshire will be held in Leeds. We have colleagues up for awards in the following categories:
• Putting People First - Lindsay Dunkley (Administrator, Savile Park, Halifax)
• Outstanding Contribution - Jill Wisemen (District Manager)
• Care Home Registered Manager - Lucie Cerna (Home Manager, Beech Hall, Leeds)
• Dignity in Care - Rachel Ridings and Anita Arnold (Team Leaders, Springfield, Bradford)
• Care Team - Brackenfield Hall (Sheffield)
• Care Innovator - Rachael Stead (Housekeeper, Sandholme Fold, Halifax)
• Palliative Care - Julie Skidmore, Laura Higgins (Team Leaders, Hatfield House, Doncaster)
• Co-production - Caryn Ferguson (Community Partnership Manager)
• Care Home Worker - David Smith (Team Leader, Dearne Hall, Rotherham)
• Care Newcomer - Daniel Batley (Care Assistant, Savile Park, Halifax)
• Activity Organiser - Janet Aston (Activity Coordinator, Wetherby Manor, Wetherby)
• Workforce Development - Oluwatosin Fadoju (Team Leader, Brackenfield Hall, Sheffield)
• Frontline Leader Sarah Berne (Team Leader, Oak Tree Lodge, Leeds)
• Care Assessor/Planner - Daniel Law (Team Leader, Herries Lodge, Sheffield)
• Care Home Cook/Chef - Paul Richardson-Mackie (Chef Manager, The Manor House, Harrogate)
Reflecting on the success of colleagues in the region, Anchor’s Director of Care Services in the North Linda Green said: “I’m so proud of care colleagues across Anchor, not just the Great British Care Awards finalists who are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and serving their local communities. We’re looking forward to next month’s final in Leeds, and fingers crossed we can come home with some awards!”
There are 21 categories in total at this year’s Great British Care Awards, with Anchor represented in all of them up and down the country.
