My impression of this home is that it is a happy, positive, caring environment. You get that feeling as soon as you go in, and my interactions with staff and residents back that up. That is a credit to the whole team in Brackenfield, who work hard to create that atmosphere. The residents, including my Dad, all seem to appreciate this. The buildin… g is bright and clean, and is a comfortable place to be with good facilities. All in all moving to Brackenfield was a really good choice for my Dad, giving him the extra support that he needed in a caring positive environment.

After several falls at home, I came in for restbite and decided was happy at Brackenfield and decided to become a permanent resident. The home is close to my family & friends, is very clean, comfortable and offered on site facilities and is clean, bright and comfortable this made my transition easy. I have a beautiful room that overlooks the lovely… garden. I have been able to bring some of my own furniture and pictures to make it more like my own home. The meals/food are more that addiquate, plenty of choice and is hot. The laundry facilities are very good and I am able to use the salon to have my hair done, still se my own doctor as he visits weekly. The acctivities when run are good & engaging.

This was the first time my Mum had been looked after by someone else and the first time we had used restbite, so it was really important to us that she was well looked after and we had a good experience. Brackenfield did not let us down and we are as happy as we could be with the care and service provided. The home was clean, bright and welcoming … and the staff were excellent. Everyone we met including the carers and team leaders and managers were so friendly, informative, supportive and helpful, and most importantly they were all equally great, patient, polite and caring to my mum. I would highly recommend Brackenfield Hall and they made our first experience of a carehome a perfect one.

On arrival it always smells lovely, it's so welcoming & every member of staff always greets you with a smile & a chat. I know I can go to anyone if I have any issues & they are always re… solved quickly. The carers are so kind & thoughtful & work very hard. The food is great & Mum loves the puddings. Welcoming you

To start your enquiry simply click 'Enquire now' at the top of the page and either call us or complete an online enquiry form.

We know only too well how daunting and emotional the decisions are for everyone when considering care, which is why our team are here to help every step of the way.

We’ll provide you with full details of the home, along with any other information you’d like, such as sample menus and activity schedules, as well as explain how you can arrange a viewing.

Whether you’re looking to stay with us permanently, or for a short break, we’d be delighted to take you on a show round of the home in person. Simply book a visit with the home manager once you’ve made your enquiry.

If you or your loved one doesn’t live nearby or are unable to visit in person we can provide a virtual show round. Either way, we’re keen to show you what daily life is like here and for you to meet our friendly team.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

Guide to visiting a care home for the first time

Visiting a care home is one of the most important steps in deciding whether it’s the right place for you or your loved one. In our homes we will ensure your visit will be welcoming, informative and reassuring, so you can feel confident about your choice. To help you get the most from your time visiting our homes, we've written an easy to follow online guide to visiting a care home.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

You may already have had a care needs assessment from the local authority and have a care plan in place which can be a useful starting point for our conversations, so we will ask about these. Our pre-assessment is a chance for us to find out more about you, the challenges you face and the way you like to live your life. It's a conversation about how our team could work with you to support your needs, independence, and wellbeing.

Once you are confident in your choice of new home, our friendly onsite teams will discuss every aspect of moving-in with you in detail to make sure you know exactly what to expect.

This way you can feel confident, safe and welcomed in the knowledge that you or your loved one will be happy and supported in your new home.

Before you move in, we will find out if there are any of your possessions that you wish us to place in your room before you arrive. Please bring your family photographs and most treasured possessions to help make your room your home.

Our care homes are dedicated to helping our residents maintain links in the local area and with their loved ones. We understand how important visits are to help your loved one settle in and we welcome regular visits from family and friends.

We also actively support residents living with us to enjoy visits away from their new home into the local area and to nearby places of interest.

Each of our homes is different and the manager of the care home you’re interested in will provide all the information you need around visiting.
