Since my mother came to stay at the Manor House in the summer of 2021 we have been delighted with the level of care and support she has received.

My father had a fall at home and was in hospital for a month. He wanted to be discharged as soon as possible but wouldn't have been able to cope at home as he was very frail. We looked for a home that could offer respite care and Manor House seemed to fit the bill. What a good choice it was! My father stayed for four months and had the very best of… care. He would say if I can't be at home this is definitely the next best thing. Not only did he receive great care in beautiful surroundings, but the Manor House team were super supportive of the whole family. My mother was able to visit easily, my father got into a routine he enjoyed, and the family felt comfortable spending time there. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking into care options.

Our parents, both in their nineties and becoming increasingly frail, came into the home in the midst of the Covid lockdown. Despite the massive change in lifestyle and the Covid-induced visiting restrictions, they were very quickly made to feel comfortable and safe. As they each in turn entered the final stages of their lives, the care provided was… exemplary and extremely thoughtful. We are so grateful to the Manager and her wonderful team for everything they did for our parents, and also for the care and consideration shown to us during the most sensitive of times.

My 91 year old aunt moved to The Manor House in October 2022, when she could no longer look after herself at home. The staff have been marvellous, listening to her, helping her to feel at home and caring for her as her health deteriorated. I can't praise them highly enough. And what a fabulous place to live. So well planned, beautifully decorated, … good home-cooked food and nice people, in lovely surroundings. It's very far from my preconceptions of what a care home would be like.

The care my mother receives is quite outstanding. She was previously receiving in-home care, which was extremely challenging. Since becoming a resident, her overall condition, care and safety have improved considerably. I cannot thank The Manor House team enough... fantastic.

This home is fantastic. It's nothing like people would paint a care home to be. It is clean, modern and the facilities are brilliant. My aunt has lived here for nearly two years and would not want to be anywhere else. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for somewhere to enjoy their retirement.

Care Home Manager
I have been a care home manager for ten years and have a Master’s in Public Health. I have been the manager of The Manor House since 2017 - before it was built - and have overseen every step of the process to where we are now. Each team member has been carefully selected based on their individual strengths and qualities, to ensure our residents receive the best level of care. I am proud to lead my enthusiastic, compassionate and diverse team of staff in delivering the highest standards in one of England’s most luxurious care homes. We always strive to do our best in all areas as reflected on our carehome.co.uk reviews and CQC report. My door is always open.
I have worked in various kitchens over a 22 year span and have learned many things along the way regarding how different kitchens work. I love cooking and seeing people enjoying the food I have prepared for them, whether it be in a restaurant, a hotel, doing banquets and weddings, or for residents in a care home - where I currently work with Anchor. My main focus is to ensure that all the food I prepare is done so with care, love and attention, ensuring my guests receive the best possible experience. I really enjoy face to face interactions with my guests and residents, as I feel it is important to get feedback on what I do and to build a rapport with the clientele. I believe you have to be adaptable in your approach when it comes to food as everyone has different pallets. A care home environment is a wonderful place to be in as I am effectively coming into other people’s home and doing what I love both in and out of work.

A review from the son of a resident at The Manor House
"The Manor is an excellent, friendly and very well-appointed care home - more akin to a hotel than a residential home. The care and attention provided to my father over the past year, (since August 2019) has been exemplary and has been an important exercise of reassurance to me and my mother during a very difficult period. Thanks to everyone at The Manor for their care and support; it is much appreciated."Read more reviews on www.carehome.co.uk
