Mum has been at Sandholme Fold for several years. She is settled and happy. I know I made the right decision for Sandholme to be her home. Mum enjoys the company of other residents and the staff are wonderful. I have peace of mind that she is safe and secure and looked after so well. The staff are so dedicated and caring and go above and beyond. Sh… e enjoys the crafts and therapies and will get involved in day-to-day activities. Mum still thinks she is staying at a five-star hotel with the best care possible. After all these years it still has that warm and friendly atmosphere when you walk through the doors. In mum's words, it gives the impression of a first-class hotel, but with so much more. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident at Sandholme fold for well over a year, she is well cared for, very contented, clean and well-fed. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team of carers.

Our experience of Sandholme has been nothing but positive. I have previously reviewed the outstanding care given by the team there to my uncle. I also wanted to mention the excellent support that our family have had from the management team regarding advice on external funding and local authority signposting. This area is such a minefield and we ha… ve always been given very concise guidance and direct contact information when seeking advice. My family really appreciate this expertise and feel highly supported at all times. Thank you.

Dad has come on in leaps and bounds since arriving at Sandholme. The care he receives is right for his current needs, and should he require any further help, he just needs to ask. He is involved with resident committee meetings, which is encouraged. There are always activities at the home, along with regular guests, school visits and outings, w… hich he is keen to go on. The reality is that prior to coming to the home, Dad had falls every day at home. Since being at the home, given timely medications, meals encouraged fluids, etc, he has fallen zero times. The staff are very good. They know their residents. Dad has capacity and has discussed with them if he has concerns. They will endeavour to sort or make relevant referrals. They have a good working relationship with the local GP surgery, who will discuss matters with the home or visit if needed. After discussing concerns I may have had, I felt reassured by the responses and actions.

Happy staff who have time to listen to my concerns about my mother. My mother's room is clean and tidy. There are regularly organised events each week i.e. a choir, keep fit (exercises for the elderly that are not too difficult for them), crafts, bingo and church service. A themed outside event this year is a Caribbean Summer Fayre, where relatives… /friends and staff can interact with the residents and have food and fun. Furthermore, there will be a tombola and other stalls of interest. My mother reassures me that she is happy at this wonderful care home by the smiles I receive when I visit her. I ask her each time I visit if she would like to come home; she tells me, 'I like it here. The staff are good and care for me'. The residents enjoy good food and nourishment from the careful planning and attention to detail of what each resident likes/dislikes. The garden is most suitable for the needs of the residents; clean, safe, an array of flowers, comfy seats and more.

Care for Mum has always been kind and considerate. The manager and staff are able to reassure the family using their expertise when discussing all aspects of Mum’s health, be it physical or mental. The support staff are also a key element to the good care Mum receives. Thank you.

Dad has been at Sandholme for over three years now and has vascular dementia. The staff in all areas of running the home work hard in maintaining a homely, safe environment for the residents. The carers are friendly and professional, and the excellent manager is always approachable. Dad doesn't join in the activities, but there are regular events a… nd things going on - it's great to see local schools getting involved to bridge the generation gap! We are very happy Dad is cared for at Sandholme Fold.
