Sensory garden opens at local care home

Limegrove care home in East Horsley transformed an unused part of their garden into a sensory space with the help of volunteers from HUB Financial Solutions.

The welcoming and bright sensory space includes a decked seating area, raised planters, a variety of plants, flowers, and bird feeders. Residents can make great use of the new sensory space, bringing them comfort and happy memories.

Nicola Drake-Smith, Manager at Limegrove care home, said:

The sensory garden is a new spot where residents can find comfort, visit with loved ones, and enjoy the outdoors. We’re thrilled with this new addition to the home.

The design for the new garden was created by Celia Milton, a receptionist at Limegrove care home. Working together, the care team and volunteers brought Celia’s vision for the garden to life. 

Celia said:

We’re so appreciative of the help provided by the volunteers from HUB Financial Solutions. They were such nice, lovely and helpful people and worked so hard to create an outdoor area for our residents to enjoy. They did such an amazing job.
