Residents at Linwood care home make the most of the sunny weather

Linwood care home in Thames Ditton organised a summer fete for residents and their loved ones earlier in July. This gave everyone the opportunity to spend time with each other, bonding over a series of outdoor activities.  

Iwona Zarzycka, Manager of Linwood care home, said:

The summer fete was part of the full schedule of activities we have organised at the home for the season to help boost residents’ physical and mental wellbeing. As well as continuing the favourite activities of arts and crafts, residents will also be celebrating the Commonwealth Games and enjoying the outdoors with gardening activities.

Attendees were able to enjoy a buffet and barbeque while enjoying tombola and entertainment by local singers Baz & Dave. 

Sarah Howard, resident at Linwood care home, said:

It was a brilliant day. Everyone had a great time at the summer party! I especially enjoyed the singing. 

When the weather starts to warm up, we encourage our residents to get outdoors and make the most of our beautiful gardens.
