Dressing up is a laughing matter at The Firs
The Firs care home in Felixstowe is organising a day of fun activities to raise money to support Comic Relief.
Staff organised activities including a fancy-dress day and baked goods sale, in aid of Comic Relief - the national charity fundraising event taking place on Friday 18 March. The money raised will go to Comic Relief and their mission to help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination.
The events will be taking place all day on Friday 18 March. Residents and staff are all looking forward to doing their bit. Everyone will be getting dressed up in wild and wacky costumes, as well as the classic Comic Relief red noses! Cakes and other treats baked will also be on sale for visitors who are coming to the home.
Members of the public who would like to donate can do so by following the link here to sponsor the activities taking place.

We’re proud to do our part for Comic Relief. Our residents are always keen to help good causes. Meaningful activities also help with our residents’ physical and mental well-being.

Another resident, Peggy Gazzard, age 94, said:
The day will be a lot of fun, all in aid of a really important cause. There’s always a lot of fun events here. I’ve always liked to raise money for Comic Relief and other charities and I’m really glad I can keep doing so while living here!
