Mum (ninety-three) had a very restful and enjoyable stay. Food, staff and carers were very supportive and caring. The only thing we found was the room was not ready when Mum arrived and the lift broke down halfway through the stay. The staff were very good and were able to move Mum to a lower floor. Lovely environment, airy and spacious.

St Joseph’s in Sudbury has been very caring and mindful of my mother with her worsening dementia. The caretaker, cleaners, caregivers and management team always receive my communications and face-to-face requests promptly and in a friendly manner. My mum has already been out on a local trip as well as a walk to feed the ducks; all within three week… s of living there. Everyone involved with my mum’s care seems to be very patient and shows her nothing but warmth and smiles which is absolutely what she needs. The food is wonderful and the staff take care to ensure all the residents are eating. When I was there visiting this week, I sat with my mum and the staff noticed one resident had fallen asleep at the table. They gently woke her and fed her. So lovely to see such caring people working there. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone who is concerned about moving their loved one into such an establishment. I can now return to quality time visiting my mum. I can’t fault it.

Mum needed respite care following three falls at home and wasn’t feeling great. The staff at St Joseph’s were welcoming, friendly, caring and helpful. My 93 year old mum likened it to having a stay in Buckingham Palace! She was hugely impressed by the choice and quality of all of the meals that she had whilst in their care. She came home feeling mu… ch better and certainly stronger due to the attention that she received there. The only advice I would give to anyone that has a loved one needing a stay is to make sure that any possessions, especially items of clothing, are clearly labelled. I was very impressed with the standard of cleanliness and the attentive staff. I would have no concerns or worries with St Joseph’s Care Home and wouldn’t hesitate to send Mum there again if the need arose.

Although it was a hard decision, my mum chose to go to St Joseph's for end-of-life care because they were so wonderful in caring for my dad, who sadly passed away there 6 months earlier. He suffered from Alzheimer's and was with them for 18 months. All the team there, without exception, the managers, nurses and care workers, the chefs, and cleanin… g staff, everyone were so professional, kind, and knowledgeable and took every opportunity to ensure my mum was safe and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. It has been such a comfort to know that both my mum and dad received the best possible care and were treated with dignity, respect and such kindness. Thank you.

It's always going to be a difficult decision to place someone you love in a care home. The St Joseph's Care Home staff have made the whole process of transitioning so easy and stress free. Communication with the administration team is second to none. It is such a relief. My father-in-law is so brilliantly looked after, he's safe, secure, loved and … cared for and after every visit we feel so happy saying goodbye knowing this. The staff are worth their weight in gold and so friendly and welcoming to us as well. They asked us lots of questions about him so they knew what he liked and didn't like to make his stay that much easier and happier. It was his birthday today, he had a birthday sash with his walker decorated, the entertainer was there too and everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him with a cake too. It was such a special day thanks to all at St Joseph's. I couldn't recommend the home enough. Thank you all!

My father entered St Joseph's Care Home in August last year on a respite basis but this soon required to be made permanent. Despite initial reservations, it quickly became clear that nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The needs of the residents are paramount. The staff are friendly and informative. The home is always clean and welcoming… of visitors. I can not speak highly enough of the home and its staff.

My mother has been in St Joseph's since March 2021, and I cannot fault the care she receives, but I think my recent experience deserves mention. Mum had to visit the dentist, which is a short wheelchair push away, and she was taken by one of the carers. The dental practice commented when I had to phone them how kind, caring and considerate her care… r was; this is something that is so evident throughout St Joseph's. I cannot speak too highly of them. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
