Wetherby Manor care home staff recognised at Great British Care Awards
Five Wetherby Manor staff members recently attended the Great British Care Awards, where they were nominated for several categories.
Hosted at York Railway Museum, Wetherby Manor care home staff members Lynette Sellars, Matthew Harrison, Mildred Sira, Jackie Maloney and Janet Aston all attended the Yorkshire & Humber region’s ceremony, accompanied by the Home Manager Judith Scurr RGN and District Manager Sarah Roe. These stand-out staff members were nominated by their peers for their unique qualities and the values they bring to the residents and team members at Wetherby Manor.
Home Manager Judith Scurr RGN said:
The stunning railway museum in York was a truly great environment to celebrate some truly great people; it was an honour to see five of our team members nominated in an event with over 200 nominees from our region. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with fantastic hospitality. I am really proud of all of the team at Wetherby Manor and would like to thank the Great British Care Awards for recognising our continued hard work and dedication to those that we care for.
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work - from frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as training and innovation.
