Orchard Gardens care home hosts Valentine’s Day-themed afternoon tea

Residents at Orchard Gardens in Eastleigh came together to throw a ‘Be My Valentine’ afternoon tea. 

The event saw the home transformed for the occasion, where residents were welcomed with drinks on arrival before settling in to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, complete with a selection of sweet treats and savouries.  

The afternoon was filled with warmth and conversation as residents spent time sharing stories, laughter, and special moments with one another. 

The celebrations continued with live music from local performer Charlotte, whose set featured a selection of romantic classics and old favourites. Her performance had residents singing along, tapping their feet, and reminiscing over fond memories, creating an uplifting atmosphere across the home.

The Valentine's afternoon tea offered residents the opportunity to connect with one another and celebrate the bonds of friendship that make Orchard Gardens feel like home.

It was wonderful to see everyone come together for our Valentine’s Day afternoon tea. The room was full of conversation and laughter, and watching residents enjoy the music and each other's company was particularly special. This time of year is all about celebrating the love and connections in our lives and this event was a lovely reminder of this.

The event was lovely and the food was delicious. It was so nice to sit with everyone and chat over tea and nibbles, whilst listening to the wonderful Charlotte perform. The team at Orchard Gardens always puts in so much effort into making these occasions special for us, from the decorations to the music to the lovely food, and it really shows.
