Celebrating the season together across our Sussex care homes

Residents and colleagues at our care homes across Sussex are sharing the festive season together. From making Christmas decorations and singing carols to decorating trees and baking seasonal treats, each activity is creating moments of joy, connection and togetherness.

Homes across the region – including Bethune Court, Silver Court and Augusta Court – kicked off their festive celebrations with their spectacular Christmas lights switch-ons. The annual tradition is a much-loved moment in the lead-up to Christmas, bringing joy to residents and the local community. 

This year, Silver Court care home in East Grinstead took festivities to new heights with a memorable series of special events. The home held a festive-themed group exercise session, where residents danced along to their favourite Christmas songs. Adding to the celebrations, everyone has been getting creative, from decorating their very own delicious gingerbread houses to making handmade Christmas cards ready to share with family and friends.

This time of year is always so memorable across Anchor care homes. It’s so heartwarming to see our residents, their families and our colleagues come together in celebration. Silver Court has taken part in so many activities this year, and it’s been wonderful to see the festive joy that’s shared by everyone involved. I’ve been having so much fun getting involved in everything festive at Silver Court. There have been such a great variety of activities that have brought everyone together. It's also offered a wonderful opportunity to reminisce on nostalgic memories with other residents and my family – as well as make brand new ones.
