The Manor House Barnard Castle celebrates 15 years of caring
To mark 15 years since The Manor House Barnard Castle in County Durham first opened its doors, residents, their family members and Anchor colleagues enjoyed a special celebration event.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment which included singer Sam Naylor who sang classics from the 50s and 60s, topped off with a buffet, cake and a glass of prosecco.
Home Manager Debbie Wilson said:
We had a fantastic day to celebrate 15 years of caring and everyone had a great time.
To be able to provide care in luxurious surroundings and get to experience our residents living their later years with fulfilment is an absolute pleasure.
We have had a variety of residents live here, the longest serving being Gillian who has lived here for 11 years now and continues to thrive. She says she loves living here and feels very well cared for by all our Anchor colleagues.
We have residents who love to help out and have won in the ‘Loving Later Life awards’ in the ‘Sustainability Champion’ category.
We also have a colleague who was nominated for an award in the Great British Care Awards Regional Final and won.
The Manor House Barnard Castle was officially opened in 2009. It is a beautiful purpose-built 76-bed care home set in a quiet location, but still close to the local town. To find out more, visit here.
