Celebrating love at Violet Elvin Court in Norwich
Residents Roy Tanner and Colin Reach of Violet Elvin Court in Norwich got married and held their wedding reception at the location's communal hall.
The couple, who have been together for over 25 years, exchanged vows surrounded by fellow residents, friends, and family. What made the occasion even more special was celebrating in the very place where they have lived since 2019.
The day was full of love and laughter, with the communal hall transformed into a stunning reception venue. A decorated aisle led the way to the ceremony, framed by a balloon arch, whilst tables were dressed to create a welcoming atmosphere for the reception that followed.
At the heart of the celebrations was an impressive wedding cake, lovingly handmade by the Location Manager, which featured icing figures of the couple on top - a gesture that reflected the care and attention that defines the community at Violet Elvin Court.
Residents and colleagues came together to celebrate with the couple, from offering well-wishes and applause during the ceremony to sharing laughter, conversation and cake at the reception. The day was a warm celebration of Roy and Colin’s love, made even more special by the sense of friendship and belonging that filled the room. By choosing to mark their wedding at home, the couple created memories that will be cherished by everyone who attended.
Teagan Robinson-Bell, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager, said:
