Share your voice!
We’re always looking to strengthen our relationship with residents; this is more important now than ever. Our resident involvement groups help us respond to your needs, improve the services we provide and how we provide them.
We’re looking for residents like you to join our involvement groups and share your voice with us. As a member of one of our groups, you’ll work closely with Anchor colleagues and fellow residents to influence policies, share ideas, and feedback on projects.
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference at Anchor. We have groups covering a range of different topics including the Environment, Inclusion, Building Quality and Safety, Communications and Finance. Learn more about our resident involvement groups here, or contact a member of the Resident Involvement Team [email protected].
Since January, involved residents have been:
- Choosing new contractors: Residents have helped choose new contractors for six different areas. In each case, they have marked the Customer Care question as part of the tender, helping to make sure new contractors have a clear understanding of what’s important to residents
- Providing opinions and feedback: There have been six focus groups to gather opinions on a variety of topics from the Allocation & Lettings policy to the Fire Safety Information Sheets. During all sessions we aim to ensure our approach is fair, transparent, and accessible to all
- Influencing within and beyond Anchor: In May, several involved residents met with Anchor’s Financial Inclusion Manager to discuss the government’s ‘Pathways to work’ green paper and Anchor’s consultation response. The Financial Inclusion Manager “found their insights really valuable and considered some additional areas to include in the response.”
Two members of the Residents’ Council attended the Adult Social Care APPG Parliamentary Reception at the Houses of Parliament. They were able to network with representatives from other house associations, speak to MPs and members of the Casey Commission. Feedback from the two Council members was that “the reception was very worthwhile. Listening first hand to people's experiences within the social care system was an eye opener and very sobering.”
