Improving how we consult on planned and compliance works
Resident feedback has highlighted that we can do better when it comes to planned and compliance works and how we share information about these before they take place. So, we’ve been working with the Homeownership Forum to make some changes.
How we consult with you
Before major work begins, colleagues and contractors work together to scope and cost the work carefully. We’ll discuss this with homeowners and share the programme of what’s planned at location meetings before we move on to formal Section 20 consultation. We’ve already started this at last summer’s annual meetings with residents.
We’ll discuss the proposals, estimated costs and what this means for residents. We’ll discuss how the work that’s needed fits in with lease requirements, health and safety needs and available funds. Residents will understand what’s planned before notices are issued and can help shape what’s planned.
We’ve also introduced a new standardised Section 20 notice template to provide clearer, easier to understand information about proposed works.
