What's new in the strategy?

We’re committed to continuous improvement. Here we are setting out our vision for resident engagement at Anchor, the key principles that guide our approach to listening and acting, and what we are going to focus on achieving. Over the life of this strategy, we’ll:

• Increase local involvement opportunities and promote Tenant and Resident Associations.
• Use resident insight data more effectively and strengthen the feedback loop.
• Ensure our Residents’ Voice Panel includes at least 5% of our resident population.
• Regularly update you on the impact of resident feedback and how it’s shaping our services.

How you can get involved

As this strategy highlights, there are more ways than ever to have your say as an Anchor resident:

• Join the Residents’ Voice Panel to take part in surveys and focus groups.
• Become part of a formal resident group or topic forum.
• Get involved in your local Tenant and Resident Association or attend local meetings.
• Share your feedback through surveys, emails, or by speaking to your local manager.
• Take part in annual events celebrating resident involvement.
• If you need support to get involved, such as digital skills or accessibility help, we’re here for you.

Why resident voice matters

Your feedback is vital. It helps us improve services, build trust, and meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and accountability. Over the past year, we’ve listened to residents’ views through surveys, focus groups, and local visits. Residents told us they want more opportunities to get involved, clearer communication, and proof that feedback leads to real change. We’re acting on that feedback.

Since 2022, we’ve made significant progress:

• Residents have helped recruit senior leaders and shape key strategies, including our environmental and sustainability plans.
• We’ve expanded our Resident Voice Panel to over 1,800 members and launched a new homeownership forum and resident task and finish groups on inclusion, the environment and finance.
• We’ve strengthened our Independent Resident Scrutiny Panel and improved digital inclusion, rolling out Wi-Fi and supporting residents to get online.
• We’re making our involvement groups more representative and have introduced mandatory diversity training for involved residents.
