Resident Involvement in October
We encourage residents to help shape and improve our services through the resident involvement groups. Below are some of the recent actions and improvements driven by these groups.
Resident involvement groups
- Recharges Policy: this month, involved residents commented on the updated recharges policy. This relates to when there is a cost for the property that is recharged back to a resident, such as damage to the property or loss of keys. The policy now has a new safeguard to prevent colleagues from wrongly recharging a resident. Involved residents helped us decide whether the steps we are taking go far enough to protect residents
- Life magazine and resident comms: The Scrutiny Panel recently approached the Resident Voice panel for their views on Life magazine and the resident communications on our website. After 140 survey responses were received, sessions were held to go into more detailed feedback. The next steps will be presenting a report on the findings to senior management
- New contractors: Residents are currently working with the Procurement team to help find a new water management contractor, ensuring residents views and concerns are considered.
Residents' Council
Members of the Residents’ Council have been working with us on our Regulatory Compliance Improvement Plan (RCIP) following our Consumer and Governance gradings of ‘3’. They have fed back on the following:
- What good resident engagement looks like throughout this process
- What aspects of the plan’s delivery should be included in Scrutiny Panel work
- Which workstreams they think will have the biggest impact for residents
- How to test whether outcomes for residents are being achieved
Residents will be involved as we work through each step of this plan, so if you would like to get involved, please email [email protected].
Join our Resident Voice Panel
The Resident Voice Panel gives residents the opportunity to share their views and feed back in a way that suits them.
Membership to the Resident Voice Panel is open to all residents and involves receiving regular invites to give Anchor feedback by completing surveys or joining focus groups.
This requires a lower level of commitment than some of the other national involvement opportunities as you can choose the projects you want to feedback on and do them at a time that suits you. We stay in touch through a monthly Resident Voice Panel newsletter sharing what is going on across all the involved resident initiatives, groups and panels.
