Local community invited to special launch event of The Manor House Roundhay
The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung and professionals from the local community were invited for a special launch event of the newly built care home The Manor House Roundhay, Leeds.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by guest of honour Valerie Abrahams, 92, who will be the home’s first resident when it opens on October 21.
The Manor House, Roundhay, is a luxurious new care home in Leeds offering first class residential and residential dementia care in a beautiful setting close to Roundhay Park. After enjoying a tour of the home alongside with Clare Erskine, Home Manager at The Manor House Roundhay, Councillor Katung said:
It was lovely to meet with Anchor colleagues and professionals from the local community, and experience for myself the warm welcome residents will receive.
Anchor is a well-established and trusted care provider that I know will offer great support to older people in Leeds, particularly those living with dementia and their families.
Rob Martin, Managing Director of Care Services at Anchor, said:

We had a fantastic day welcoming the Lord Mayor of Leeds to our luxurious new home and are really looking forward to opening our doors on October 21 and welcoming our residents.
We also had a really successful public open day on Sunday when we were able to showcase the wonderful facilities we have here at The Manor House Roundhay to the local community.
Jas Gill, Managing Director of Hadrian Healthcare who developed the home said:
We are delighted to have completed and handed over this stunning new Home, The Manor House Roundhay, to Anchor.
