Hanover Court resident celebrates 90th birthday

Anne, a resident at Hanover Court in Hythe, celebrated her 90th birthday on Sunday 2 June and shares her reflections on the special day. 

To mark the occasion, residents at Hanover Court threw Anne a garden party so people could celebrate out in the sunshine. Anne and her friends enjoyed birthday cake and a delicious buffet while listening to their favourite songs outside. 

Speaking of the day, Anne said: 

The day was lovely.  I was home with all my friends having lived here for 27 years I could just be myself, relax and enjoy the day AND the weather played ball.

Samantha Jones, Location Manager at Hanover Court said:

The day itself was filled with great conversation, fabulous music with another resident in the DJ seat and the chief resident organiser who was running around making sure that Anne’s cake and flowers were delivered ready for the day (Amongst other things) and that everything went smoothly.  

As the Location Manager I love to see the community come together for events like this and to celebrate such occasions.  I think it’s really important for everyone wellbeing and to keep everyone connected.  Anne is such an integral part of this community and its only right that her day was celebrated by everyone here.
