Ed the lurcher wins our Pet of the Month award
Ed, a nine-year-old lurcher, is a beloved resident of Peaselands housing location in Bradford, where he has lived with his owner Martine Robinson for just over a year.
Over the past year, Ed has won the hearts of both colleagues and residents at Peaselands with both spoiling him with gifts.
Only last month, Ed lost his big brother Striker who was 16 years of age. However, he has bounced back and continued to be the perfect companion for Martine.
Ed fought off fierce competition from other Anchor pets to be crowned Pet of the Month for August.
His owner Martine said:
He’s so good for my mental health, having him there all the time. He’s such a loving dog and helps ensure I’m always getting out of the house.
Dawn Needham, Location Manager of Peaselands, said:
Ed is an absolute star. He’s a lovely dog and really makes everyone’s day. He is a wonderful companion for Martine and a firm favourite for all our residents!
We love animals like Ed at Peaselands. Studies have shown that the health of our residents improves when they interact with animals.
Peaselands, like all Anchor properties, has a pet-friendly policy in place. Recently, we were awarded the Platinum standard from the RSPCA at their annual PawPrints Award for continuing to support pet-owning residents at our properties.
