Cranlea care home in Newcastle named among the best in the North East
Cranlea care home in Newcastle has been recognised as one of the Top 20 care homes in the North East in the annual Carehome.co.uk awards.
The awards celebrate excellence in care across the UK, based on reviews from residents and their families.
Cranlea, located off Kingston Park Avenue, earned its place in the regional Top 20 following positive feedback from the people who know the home best.
Alongside the regional recognition for Cranlea, Anchor was also named among the Top 20 Large Care Home Groups for 2026.
Reflecting on the care home’s success in the awards, Cranlea’s manager Laura Verrill said:
