Anchor secures five shortlist places at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2026
Anchor is celebrating a major achievement after securing five shortlist places across the Inside Housing Development Awards 2026, recognising excellence, innovation and impact across the UK housing sector.
With more than 300 entries received this year, competition was stronger than ever. Securing a place on the shortlist is significant recognition of the dedication, expertise and collaboration of colleagues and partners who continue to deliver high-quality homes and communities that help people live well for longer.
Five shortlist places put Anchor's developments in the spotlight
Anchor's shortlist success spans three developments and five nominations:
• Goldfinch Point, Hackney – Best Healthy Homes Development
• Goldfinch Point, Hackney – Best Shared Ownership Development (Urban)
• Goldfinch Point, Hackney – Best Regeneration Project (£21m+) London and Southeast
• The Brambles, Peterborough – Best Shared Ownership Development (Suburban)
• The Peaks, Woodford – Best Later Living Development (nominated by Vistry)
Among the shortlisted projects is Goldfinch Point in Hackney, recognised across three categories for its innovative approach to later living. The landmark development brings together two complementary housing offers for people aged 55 and over: Life in Place from Anchor, providing homes for sale for over-55s through Older Persons Shared Ownership, and Osprey Heights, Anchor's purpose-built rental community.
Together, they create a vibrant later living neighbourhood that offers greater choice, affordability and flexibility, while supporting residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing and social connections.
The nominations reflect the success of developments that are helping address the evolving housing needs of older people through high-quality design, strong partnerships and innovative housing solutions. Whether through regeneration, shared ownership or specialist later living communities, the shortlisted projects demonstrate Anchor's commitment to creating places where residents can thrive.
The five shortlist places highlight Anchor's continued commitment to delivering sustainable, accessible and customer-focused homes, while creating communities where people can lead fulfilling and independent lives.
A proud achievement for Anchor
Nick Hodgskin, Head of Regeneration & Partnerships at Anchor, said:
We are incredibly proud Anchor developments have secured five shortlist places at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2026. This recognition reflects the passion, expertise and hard work of our colleagues, partners and contractors, who are committed to delivering high-quality affordable homes and communities for people in later life.
Goldfinch Point's three shortlist places, alongside recognition for The Brambles and The Peaks, demonstrate the breadth of innovative housing solutions we're delivering across the country.
To have five shortlist places across these prestigious awards is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the impact our teams and partners are making across the sector.
The winners will be announced at the Inside Housing Development Awards ceremony on 24 November 2026, held at the InterContinental London O2 as part of Housing Week London. The awards celebrate the very best in housing development, recognising organisations that are delivering innovation, excellence and meaningful outcomes for residents and communities across the UK.
Anchor congratulates all colleagues, partners and stakeholders involved in the shortlisted projects and looks forward to celebrating with fellow finalists later this year.
