Residents enjoy selecting dishes for their spring and summer menus
Throughout the month, residents across our care homes were invited to give their feedback on potential dishes that will be included in our spring and summer menus.
At Anchor, we pride ourselves on the quality of our catering and the choice that residents have during mealtimes every day.
All of our care homes offer fresh, seasonal and appetising meals, and residents are very much involved in the curation of daily menus.
Throughout February, our catering teams have been preparing dishes for residents to try and give their opinions on. Their favourite dishes will be added to the spring and summer menus to make sure mealtimes are as enjoyable as possible.
Some favourite dishes at Skelton Court included the red velvet cake and Mediterranean pasta bake, whereas residents at Firth House particularly enjoyed the apricot bread and butter pudding.
Our care homes also have themed food days and many residents also take part in the preparation if they so wish. On Valentine’s Day, Millfield care home served up some delicious shortbread biscuits in the shape of love hearts.
