Manchester housing locations host wellbeing events with local community
Recently, Rixton Court and Moseley Court housing locations in Manchester held health and wellness events for the local community to attend.
The events were open to people over 55 and attendees had the opportunity to find out more about their local services and receive advice on a variety of topics surrounding health and wellbeing. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, Greater Manchester Police, AgeUK, Ring and Ride and a local church also came to the events to build connections and speak with the local community.
Manchester City Commissioning Officer, Adam O’Leary said:
I was just at the community event at Moseley Court this morning, unfortunately I couldn't stay for longer, but just wanted to say it was a lovely, welcoming event that pulled together lots of community groups and residents - exactly what Housing Related Support is all about.
Area Manager Dawn Bradshaw said:
We had a lovely couple of mornings welcoming the local community for our wellbeing events. They were really informative and well attended. We can’t wait to host more events throughout 2024.
