Madeleine House care home celebrates its 30th anniversary Rock’N’Roll style

Madeleine House care home has celebrated its 30th anniversary with a rock‘n’roll-themed celebration.

To mark the occasion, Madeleine House care home held a special performance and party for residents. The care team donned their best 50s outfits and the home was decked out in style with musical themed decorations.

The festivities began with a special outdoor performance by an Elvis tribute singer followed by a celebratory meal to match the party’s theme. The menu included Cajun-style Southern fried chicken, pulled pork sandwiches and mozzarella sticks. For those with a sweet tooth, pecan pie topped off the feast alongside an elaborately decorated 30th anniversary cake. 

Pat Ashford, 77, resident of Madeleine House, said:

I have lived at Madeleine House for five years and have always loved it here, it feels like home. We had a great time at the party and it was nice to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the home.

Although invitations could not be extended to people outside the care home, residents and carers alike enjoyed the festivities and were happy to be able to honour the care home.

Even though we couldn’t party like we normally would, we had an absolutely wonderful afternoon celebrating 30 years of Anchor’s Madeleine House. We are looking forward to what lies ahead and continuing to provide a place where residents enjoy living each day.
