Getting residents talking over tasty treats
Our care homes have introduced a new campaign this March to bring residents together for a chat over some delicious waffles.
As well as providing the ideal occasion to catch up and bring people together, residents and care home team members will also be trying to create the tastiest toppings.
Several care homes including Skelton Court and Limegrove have already got involved and strawberries with whipped cream appears to be a favourite among many residents. Other toppings available include a range of sauces, chocolate and sprinkles.
Joanne Meredith, Activities Co-Ordinator at The Manor House Knaresborough said:
This wonderful initiative not only satisfies our sweet cravings but also brings us closer together as a community. Here's to many more moments of laughter, friendship, and delicious waffles!
Our care teams work hard to provide ways to bring residents together and involve them in mealtime decisions and this is another fun way residents can have a chat over some of their favourite dishes. Learn more about our approach to mealtimes here.
