Beech Hall and Dearne Hall care homes recognised in top 20 in Yorkshire & the Humber by national website
Anchor care homes Beech Hall and Dearne Hall have been recognised as being among the Top 20 care homes in the Yorkshire and Humber region by a national care website.
The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards are based on feedback from residents living in each home. Anchor itself was also recognised as being in the top 20 large care home pro-viders nationwide.
Anchor’s Beech Hall and Dearne Hall both won the accolade among very stiff competition and have received praise for the quality of care and dedication of their care teams.
Beech Hall is in Armley, Leeds, and home manager Lucie Cerna said:
We are delighted to be recognised by carehome.co.uk in its awards. Beech Hall isn’t just a care home, it is a family and colleagues, residents and relatives are a part of our ever-expanding family.
We take great pride in our activities and community links which includes working alongside an animal rescue project which aims to rehome pets whose owners have had to move into full time care.
We have a lovely local school which brings their children here to do activities with our residents including reading to them and singing with them.
The children also write to our residents to form penpal relationships. There is a childminder who brings in the little ones to take part in lots of intergenerational activities here.
We also have a lovely pet therapy dog called Indie who spends time with our residents each week and we have puppy cuddling sessions where we encourage people to bring litters of puppies into our home for residents to cuddle.
We also have very strong links with our local churches, who provide communion and services for our residents. We also run an annual seaside trip for our residents.
Dearne Hall is in Bolton-upon-Dearne, Rotherham, and home manager Joanna Boswell said:
All our colleagues and residents are very proud to have achieved this award and we feel it has happened due to the hard work and dedication everyone puts into providing a home where older people can love living in later life.
Colleagues at Dearne Hall come to work to make lives better and brighten each day following Anchor’s core values.
It has been a privilege to lead the Dearne Hall team and see them awarded the recognition they deserve. We look forward to building on this success and will continue to create a welcoming, supportive environment where residents can thrive.
