Retirement scheme holds spooktacular open day

Heriot Grange in Hartlepool welcomed the public to their open day with a Halloween twist to celebrate its thriving community spirit.

Guests were taken on a tour of the facilities available at the scheme and got to enjoy the handmade Halloween decorations that residents and the team at Heriot Grange had put up! After the tour, guests enjoyed some tea, coffee biscuits and cakes.

Guests also got a chance to speak to residents about the community at Heriot Grange. In addition, the management team also gave a brief talk about life at the scheme and how they supported residents to ensure they loved living in later life!

The day finished with a raffle for a luxury hamper with each guest being given a free ticket on arrival. The lucky winner walked away with selection of luxury goodies including chocolate, luxury coffee and merchandise including pens and keyrings.

We had a lot of fun organising and hosting this open day, especially with the Halloween theme! Thank you to all our visitors for coming, we really wanted to give our local community a look into what life is like for all of us at the scheme. 

We held this open day so that members of the local community could speak to our residents to hear for themselves how happy a place this is to live and about the great community spirit we have here.
