At Meadowfield Court retirement housing scheme in Hartlepool, we offer 10 one bedroom and 27 studio purpose-built properties for rent for people over the age of 55.
The property is situated close to Hartlepool and has excellent transport links to the town centre. The local shops are within walking distance and include a convenience store, a post office, pharmacy, fish and chip shop, bakery and hairdressers. There is a doctor's surgery in Seaton Carew. Other local amenities include a seaside resort, a golf club and a nearby nature reserve.
We understand that sometimes you like to be alone and at other times you may want to be more sociable. Our properties give you that freedom. At Meadowfield Court we run social activities including coffee mornings, bingo, a craft club and chair exercises.
You will not need to worry about maintenance and repairs or gardening upkeep as we take care of those. We provide a wide range of facilities, including a communal lounge, a guest room, a garden with seating area, an on-site laundry and eight parking spaces.

Life at Meadowfield Court
At Meadowfield Court sheltered housing scheme, we offer purpose-built and well-maintained rented accommodation for people over the age of 55.
Your home will be completely self-contained with your own front door allowing the privacy and independence you expect. It will be easy to maintain, and you will be able to give your new home a personal touch and decorate and furnish it as you wish.
Your kitchen will have fully-fitted units. There will be storage space and lounge and bedroom areas.
Many of the people who live in our properties have arranged broadband and digital or satellite TV and most properties have a telephone point.
You will want to feel safe in your new home and that’s why each of our properties is fitted with an emergency alarm.
Mondays 10am-11.30am - Coffee mornings
Informal coffee morning, everyone welcome.
Tuesdays 1.30pm-3.30pm - Craft Club
Come along and share your ideas and skills. Most materials are provided to make seasonal items and gifts. Entry fee £1.
Thursday 2pm-3pm - Chair exercises
Gentle chair exercises and a fun friendly way to keep fit. FREE sessions.
Last Wednesday of each month we hold a Fish & Chip supper at 5pm.

How much does it cost?
Properties for rent
Your monthly fee will range from £509.01 and normally includes your rent, service charge, heating, hot water and water rates.
What is included in rental fees?
Our service charge covers all the cost of amenities you share with your neighbours, including the scheme manager service, our 24-hour emergency call service (Anchor on Call), repairs and maintenance, window cleaning, gardening and the cleaning of communal areas.
Your local council will be able to advise you about getting help paying your rent and service charge through housing benefit. They will also be able to tell you if they will be paying grant to us to meet or contribute towards the support cost elements of our services to you.
Our customers really value the service that our scheme managers provide. They are there to make sure that our rented accommodation is welcoming and pleasant to live in.

Making the most of technology
Everyone’s safety and wellbeing is our absolute priority, so where possible we are offering prospective residents the opportunity to use technology to do virtual viewings and can send videos and photographs to support your decision making. We will of course be delighted to welcome you for an in-person viewing if this is your preference.
