Meet Tiggy: Our Pet of the Month for November
Tiggy lives at Robinson Court with her owner Pauline Hutchinson and has been named our Pet of the Month for November for delighting residents with her antics.
Tiggy, a 14-year-old Jack Russell and Whippet cross, is a bit of a legend at Robinson Court. Every day, she can be found going for regular walks around the grounds of Robinson Court and joining the residents for tea and biscuits! She has become a delightful companion to the residents who all enjoy making a fuss over her.
Residents all love petting and playing with Tiggy when she is out for walks and feeding her treats such as dog biscuits. Tiggy is such a beloved figure, that she was named Pet of the Month for November, after being nominated by the residents of Robinson Court for her ability to make people smile.
Mrs Hutchinson said:
I absolutely love Tiggy, I think everyone does! She’s so sweet and a truly lovely dog.
I love having Tiggy with me and it’s lovely to see how much joy she brings my neighbours. Animals make for wonderful companions so it’s great that Robinson Court is so pet friendly!
Amanda Marriott, Manager of Robinson Court care home, said:
Tiggy’s an absolute star. She's a lovely dog and really makes everyone’s day. She absolutely loves her neck rubbing and is a wonderful companion for Pauline and a firm favourite for all our residents!
We love animals like Tiggy at Robinson Court. Studies have shown that the health of our residents improves when they interact with animals. Some of our residents have their own pets too, but we also have regular visits from the pets of colleagues and other visitors too.
Robinson Court, like many of our locations, has a pet friendly policy in place. Recently, we were awarded the Gold standard from the RSPCA at their annual PawPrints Award for continuing to support pet-owning residents at their properties.
