Katherine Jenkins to hold special live-stream performance for Anchor care home residents

In partnership with Vodafone, award winning opera singer Katherine Jenkins OBE will be giving a one-off live performance for Anchor care homes on Wednesday 1 July.

Although open for all to view via a live stream accessible via Facebook, residents and colleagues of West Hall, St Mary’s and Borrage House care homes have all been invited to the special event, where they will be able to speak directly with Katherine via live stream from her home and take part in a sing-along where she will perform a number of classic songs.

This heart-warming event aims to connect people through music and technology and is an amazing opportunity for residents and colleagues to see this world class singer live. Residents’ family and friends will also be able to watch online, allowing loved ones to spend time together and share this wonderful experience.

Everyone here at West Hall care home are over the moon to be able to attend such a once in a lifetime event. We are excited to welcome Katherine to our home. She is an amazing singer and our residents are looking forward to singing along.

Katherine will be performing a special song, You are my Sunshine, for Audrey Grogan who lives at Anchor’s Blackbrook House care home in Colchester and will be celebrating her 109th birthday.

This will be a lovely birthday treat as ‘You are my Sunshine’ is one of Audrey’s favourite songs. She is very excited to hear it performed live.
