The local community in Surrey
West Hall is a care home that promotes relationships between older people and the community they live in.
We recognise that being interested in what is going on and taking part in your local community is, for many people, a vital part of a fulfilled life.
At West Hall our residents enjoy the opportunity to be active members of the local community of West Byfleet, Surrey. We ensure they are able to maintain close bonds with people in the local area formed before coming to live with us, as well as provide opportunities to meet and contribute to new groups.
We foster strong relationships with local groups which both bring people to come and visit our home, and offer residents with opportunities to go out and take part in new experiences. We have invested in our own mini-bus to enable residents to attend social activities in the West Byfleet area, and are frequently visited by local school children.
As a result, West Hall has a wide choice of daily activities designed to enrich the lives of our residents and is a very sociable place to live.

Woking & District Men's Shed
Woking & District Men’s Shed, part of both a national and international network of Men’s Sheds, is based in the beautiful grounds of West Hall. Members are mainly retirement-aged men who get together for companionship and to share skills and knowledge.
With a workshop, as well as a clubhouse and an allotment, the Shed often works with local charities and community groups, as well as taking on projects for West Hall. Residents of the home also pop in on a regular basis to have a look at what’s going on, and to have a chat and a cup of tea.
